In the first nine months of this year, Taiyuan Steel yielded 2.2295 million tonnes of stainless steel, up 6.74 percent year on year, meanwhile, Taiyuan Steel produced about 7.5417 million tonnes of steel, seeing a rise of 1.94 percent from prior year.
During the 11th Five-year Plan period, Taiyuan Steel's steel output climbed up from 5.39 million tonnes to 9.59 million tonnes, of which those of stainless steel also gained an increase from 92,000 tonnes to 2.72 million tonnes, becoming world's largest stainless steel enterprise, during this period, business income ascended from CNY 37.5 billion to CNY 111.5 billion, surpassing CNY 100 billion for four years in a row.
Since this year, Tiayuan Steel overcame a series of difficulties such as demand shrinking, expensive cost, low steel price as well as fierce industrial competition and realized a business income of CNY 94.8 billion and accomplished profit and tax of CNY 3.8 billion.
